I am primarily a painter but I also love to draw and sculpt. My art practice is a wonderful balance to my academic and medical work. I get to use a different part of my brain to create art that brings joy to me and to others.

Doctor / Researcher

I am an NHS GP working in Devon. When I’m not working as a GP, I work at the University of Exeter where I am researching ways to diagnose cancers earlier with the ultimate aim to save lives.

Writer

I’ve always expressed myself through words as well as images and bringing these together to write Start Painting Now with my little sister Emily Powell was a dream come true. Now I can’t stop writing.
